“A person who represents himself often has a fool for a client.”
It really depends, but the courts must charge a $299 filing fee (mandatory for all states). Attorney’s fees vary by attorney, but I filed in Texas, and my total cost was $1399 ($1000 atty. fee, $299 filing fee, $50 credit reporting fee, $50 credit counseling fee).
Good luck.
In CA, there usually $799.
None. There are all sorts of exceptions including for bankruptcy, depending the type involved.
You need to add the creditors as amended on schedule D, E or F and then you need to prepare a simple Motion. typically in the Motion you must list the name and addresses of the missing/new creditors. There may be sample Motions on the Net.You may want to contact the Bankruptcy Court as many have clerks that help pro se filers.
